Albert T. “Red” Fowler, 64, of Route 26, Eaton, NY, passed away Monday March 8, 2010 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
He was born November 18, 1945 in Rome, NY, a son of Leonard and Mary Marsh Fowler and attended Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central School. On July 13, 1973, Albert married Nancy A. Grower in Merrillsville, NY. Red had worked as a machinist at Magnavox in Manlius, and later he was a self-employed craftsman and handyman. He enjoyed several crafts, including wood burning, engraving glass and reverse glass painting. He was also a fisherman and loved bird watching.
Red was a member of the Eaton Community Bible Church and the Eaton Fire Department. He was a former member of the Lincoln Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; his children, April and Mike O’Hara of Oneida; Alan Fowler and his fiancée, Jennifer Jenkins of Oneida; Lisa and Billy Unger of Eaton; a grandson, Austin Unger; and his in-laws, Frank and Joanne Grower of Oneida.
His family will receive friends at the Eaton Community Bible Church at a date and time to be announced.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the spring.
