Andrew Burton Sabol, 46, of Burwell St., Little Falls, NY, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014, at his home.
He was born December 13, 1967, in Utica, a son of Andrew R. and Vicki J. Burton Sabol. He was a 1986 graduate of Waterville Central School and a National Merit Scholar who graduated from Union College in 1990 with a degree in Economics. He graduated from the SUNY Buffalo Law School in 1995 and was a New York State tax attorney with the law firm Hodgson Russ LLP in Buffalo for five years. In 2001, Andrew married Paula Iannello in Buffalo. They then moved to Little Falls where he began his career in teaching, which was his true calling. He was an instructor at Herkimer County Community College and most recently at SUNY Institute of Technology. Andrew was a loving father who was devoted to his children with much of his free time spent enjoying various craft projects with them. His imagination and creativity will live on through his children.
Surviving are his former wife, Paula; his beloved children, Ethan Andrew and Maya Grace Sabol; his parents, Andrew and Vicki Sabol of Waterville; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Christopher Britt of Augusta, GA; brother, Jeffrey P. Sabol of Kittredge, CO; nieces and nephews, Harrison Britt, Wyatt, Sophie and Sasha Sabol; and a special person in his life, Alyssa Whittaker of Marcy. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home (Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel), 210 E. Main St., Waterville, NY 13480.
Interment in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Waterville will be private.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-6pm prior to the service.
