Ardean Boyce Rodman, 73, of Hamilton, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Community Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility with her children by her side.
She was born in Middletown, NY on January 3, 1941, a daughter of Laurence and Ellanora Weller Boyce. She was a graduate of Pine Bush Central School and a 1962 graduate of SUNY College of Oneonta. Ardean taught in the elementary grades for 24 years, 21 of those in Madison Central School until she retired in 1999. She then started a pet sitting service called Wags and Purs.
Surviving are her son, Troy Rodman of Cortland; daughter, Lisa Rodman of Cazenovia; daughter Amy and Chris Scarsi and grandchildren, Christopher, Tessa and Zachary, all of Jamesville; son Chad and Linda Rodman and grandchildren Arielle, Cole, Gavin and Luke, all of Central Square; sister, Donna and Keith Merkt of Hamilton.
Graveside services will be held in the Smith’s Valley Cemetery, Randallsville, at the convenience of her family
There will be no calling hours.
