Charolyn F. Cring, 86, of Morrisville, NY, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Palms Nursing and Rehab Facility in Corpus Christi, TX.
She was born May 20, 1928 in Lenox, NY, a daughter of Charles R. and Velma Weigand Field. She was a graduate of Morrisville High School and the Syracuse Business School. On September 25, 1948, Charolyn married Leland Arthur Cring in Morrisville. He predeceased her on February 8, 2007. Charolyn worked at Key Bank in Morrisville, and later in Syracuse until her retirement. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved to read and enjoyed cooking for her family.
Charolyn was a member of the Morrisville Community Church; the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, Merilee and Arlin Bartlett of Bloomingburg, NY; Jeffrey and Christine Cring of Morrisville; Gary Cring of Corpus Christie, TX; and Thomas Cring of OK; a sister-in-law, Barbara Fields of Utica; her grandchildren, Bethany Haskins; Alisa and Kyle Graves; Dr. Christopher and Margaret Bartlett; Charolyn-Ruth and Michael Adams; great-grandchildren, Dalaney, Quinn, Selah, Hazelle and Roseline; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Alelita Cring, and a brother, Bruce Fields.
Memorial services will be held at 1pm Saturday, December 6, 2014 from the Morrisville Community Church, Swamp Rd., Morrisville, followed by interment in the Morrisville Cemetery.
