Daniel D. Storms, 73, passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 with his loving family by his side.
Daniel was born July 16, 1942 in Hubbardsville, NY, a son of the late John E. and Eunice R. (Kimball) Storms. He attended Hamilton Central Schools. After leaving school, Dan went to live and work on the farm of Rollie Schallenberg in Westernville, NY, until his retirement in 1999. After retiring, Dan relocated to Ilion, NY, residing with his sister, Gail until her passing, at which time, he moved to Hamilton, NY to reside with his sister, Raylene. Most recently, Dan resided in Cazenovia at Liberty Resources.
Dan enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his sister, Raylene and her family. He was an avid fisherman and photographer. He also enjoyed painting and building model cars Dan had a love of all animals, but especially his dog, Jamie. Dan’s contagious laughter and continued happiness was spread throughout his life and enjoyed by all who knew him.
Dan is survived by his loving sister, Raylene Crossway and her husband Roy of Hamilton; several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his extended family at Liberty Resources, including his beloved canine, Jamie. He was predeceased by his sisters, Marilyn McAllister and (Helena) Gail Reichinger, and a brother, John Storms.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, February 27, 2016 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton.
Spring interment will be in the Madison Street Cemetery, Hamilton.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7pm.
