David S. Miller, 73, of State Route 12, Hubbardsville, NY, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
He was born July 25, 1947 in Cortland, NY, a son of Harley and Frances Canale Miller. He graduated from Cortland High school, received his A.A.S. from SUNY, Delhi, and his B.S. degree from Empire State College. On July 26, 1969, David married Bettyann Haver in Rhinebeck NY. David worked in Quality Assurance for Proctor & Gamble in Norwich for 43 years until retiring. Always on the move, he enjoyed fly fishing, working on his small farm, making maple syrup and managing his woodlands. One of Dave’s proudest moments was taking 1st place in the Landowners division at the Game of Logging National Finals in Cambridge, Ohio on October 6, 2012.
Surviving are his wife of over 51 years, Bettyann; two daughters, Sarah Miller of Endwell, NY and Heather Miller of Kansas City, MO.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11:00am in the East Hamilton United Methodist Church, 1760 State Roue 12, Hubbardsville, NY.
There are no calling hours.
Interment will be private in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Tremper, NY.
