Edward Ostrander

Edward H. Ostrander, Sr., 72, of State Route 20, Waterville, NY, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at his home.
He was born October 24, 1940 in Sangerfield, a son of William and Edna Rivenburg Ostrander and received his education in Waterville schools. On December 12, 2002, Edward married Patricia E Denney in Leonardsville. Ed had worked for the Village of Waterville for over 36 years until his retirement. He was a devoted family man and took great pride in maintaining the condition of his lawn and home.
Surviving are his wife, Pat; his children, Dorothy and Ron Major of Waterville; Edward, Jr. and Sandra Ostrander of Bridgewater; Harold and Kathy Ostrander of Frankfort; Travis Ostrander of West Edmeston; step-children, Jodi and Daryl Hawes of Brookfield; Robert and Carleen Wright of Whitesboro; Kimberly and Brian Stillman of Brookfield; Melissa Wright and Daryl of Clark Mills; Terrance Wright and Michelle of Oriskany; two sisters, Mary Lew of Ilion and June Hull of Cassville; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Micky Ostrander of Kingston; fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three sisters, Dora, Arvilla and Mabel, and five brothers, Elmer, Ruben “Gene”, William, Howard and John.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, followed by interment in the Waterville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday (today) from 4-7pm;
Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
