Edwin Brennan

Edwin M. Brennan, 75, of Doolittle Rd., Sauquoit, NY, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 18, 2012.
He was born on March 5, 1936 in Utica, NY, a son of the late Roger and Mary Frawley Brennan and was a graduate of Waterville High School. On February 27, 1960, Edwin was united in marriage to Catherine (Katie) Catlin in St. Bernard’s Church, Waterville. She predeceased him on May 15, 2004. Ed was a dairy farmer his entire life. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who took great pleasure in spending time with his family. He was a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church in Waterville. He was a member of the Oneida County Farm Bureau and the Oneida County Dairy Promotion Committee awarded him “Dairy Farmer of the Year” in 2006.
Surviving are his children, Matthew and Jane Brennan, Sauquoit; Michele and Dr. Philip Vuocolo, Peterboro, NH; Lori and Lucas Bongarra, Los Angeles, CA; Patrick and Sheri Brennan, Waterville; grandchildren, Kayla and her fiancé, Adam Brouillette, John, Kelly, Jill and Mandy Brennan, Scott and Jessica, Valerie, Nicholas, Kimberly and Victoria Vuocolo, Joshua and Eddie Brennan; great-grandson, Arlo Brouillette; sister, Eleanor Frost and her companion, James Ford, Cassville, brothers, Norman Brennan, Cassville, Philip Brennan and companion Joanne Eisenhut, Green Valley, AZ; ; sister-in-law, Mary Brennan, Monroe. He was predeceased by a son, Michael R. Brennan on September 30, 2011; a brother, Vincent Brennan, sisters-in-law, Marion Brennan and Jean Catlin, and a brother-in-law, Robert Frost.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, followed at 11 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard’s Church, Stafford Ave., Waterville. Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-3 and 7:30-9:30 pm.
