EDWIN P. JARZOMBEK
Edwin Paul Jarzombek, 75, of Quarterline Rd., Madison, NY, formerly of Rochester, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, Hamilton, NY.
He was born August 4, 1933 in New York Mills, NY, a son of the late Victor, Sr. and Mary Frances Kapalka Jarzombek. He was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and the NYS Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences at Utica (now MVCC). Edwin had worked at General Electric, Kodak, Corning Glass, and retired as a draftsman from Zerox in Rochester. He had spent winters in Sumterville FL for many years, and following his retirement moved to Madison. Edwin enjoyed the outdoors and camping as well as working with cars. He was a communicant of St. Bernards Church in Waterville.
Surviving is his brother, Victor Jarzombek, Jr. of New Hartford; and an aunt, Elizabeth Barnard of Whitesboro. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Christine Jarzombek in 2004.
A Memorial Mass for Edwin and his mother, Mary who passed away January 20, 2008, will be celebrated at 7 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Good News Center Chapel, 10475 Cosby Manor Rd., Utica, NY 13502.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Calvary Cemetery, Utica.
