Emilie Eiholzer

Emilie M. Eiholzer, 91, of Main St., Eaton, NY, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
Emilie was born on August 4, 1920 in Chester, Iowa, a daughter of Karl and Marie Kneubuhl Eiholzer. Moving to New York at an early age, she received her education in Morrisville schools. Emilie worked at Oneida Ltd. in Sherrill for over 35 years until her retirement in 1983. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton.
Surviving are three sisters, Gertrude Winkler of Eaton; Theresa Carter of Sherrill; and Frances Snyder of Knoxville, TN; two brothers, James and Herman Eiholzer, both of Eaton; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters, Marie Eiholzer, Martha Gregory, Anna Manning, Helen Eiholzer and Emma Carey; and three brothers, Joseph, Carl and George Eiholzer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville on Tuesday from 11am to 12:30 pm.
Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Mary’s Church Memorial Fund, 16 Wylie St., Hamilton, NY 13346; or to the Eaton Volunteer Fire Department, Eaton NY 13334.
