Estella Marie Neff Jenny, 79, of Callahan Dr., Morrisville, NY, died Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Crouse Community Center, Morrisville.
She was born April 25, 1931 in Madison, NY, a daughter of L. Duane and Ethel Holmes Neff and was a graduate of Madison Central School in 1948. On October 8, 1949, Estella married Rodney Franklin Jenny in the Madison United Methodist Church. She lived on a dairy farm for most of her life. Estella, her husband, Rodney and his brother, Roy, operated the family farm until their retirement. For over 40 years, Estella was a volunteer and leader of the Madison County 4-H. She also worked for Madison County in the Assessment Department and with the Election Bureau for several years. She was a volunteer at the Morrisville-Eaton Elementary School library and expressed her love of flowers by tending her beautiful gardens. She also loved to travel and add details to her Victorian-era dollhouse.
Surviving is her husband of 61 years, Rodney; her children, Donald Jenny and his fiancée, Janet Roome of Moravia; John Jenny of Sherrill; Susan and Roy Armenta of Farmington, NM; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lucian and Kathy Neff of Clinton; Ronald and Viola Neff of Madison; a brother-in-law Roy W. Jenny and his companion, Barbara Vetter of Belleview, FL; her beloved grandchildren, William Todacheene, Cpl. Robert Todacheene, U.S.M.C., Heidi Todacheene, and David Jenny; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Ann Neff, and a sister-in-law, Jean Neff.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville with interment in the Morrisville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 PM.
