Eva M. Campbell, 95, of South Lebanon Rd., Lebanon, NY, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton. She had been a resident of the Crouse Community Center in Morrisville for two years.
She was born January 23, 1921 in Iselin, PA, a daughter of Mark and Anna Butry Mussision and was a graduate of Earlville High School in 1938. On October 7, 1939, Eva married David S. Campbell in Georgetown, and together they operated their dairy farm. David predeceased her on November 8, 1989.
Eva was an active member of the Lebanon Federated Church where she had held several offices, and was a member of the American Baptist Women Association. She was also a member of the Earlville Senior Citizens, the Farm Bureau, and the A.A.R.P. She had been a 4-H leader for 10 years, and had served on the Lebanon Election Board for many years.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Larry Rice of Sherburne; a son, Samuel Campbell (Sarah Shaw) of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Tammy Rice Matott (Mark) of North Norwich; Julie Campbell Fein (Bruce) of Cortland; David Campbell (Rebecca) of Lebanon; Beth Campbell of Ossining; and Todd Rice of New Hartford; six great-grandchildren, Kory and Kayla Rice; Sam, Logan and Colby Campbell; and David Fein; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Green (Gerald) of Unadilla; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rose Knasick, Katherine Sterle, Helen Parker, Mary Jenne and Anne Dale; her brothers, Frank and Charles Mussision; and a grandson, Tim Rice.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 20, 2016, from the Lebanon Federated Church, 1494 Billings Hill Rd., Earlville. NY.
Interment in the Hillside Cemetery, Georgetown will be in the spring.
Friends are invited to call at the church on Saturday from 11am to 1pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Lebanon Federated Church.
