OBITUARY

FLOYD L. COUSE, JR.

SHERBURNE: Floyd L. Couse, Jr., 80, of Sherburne passed away Wednesday February 10, 2021 at Utica Rehab and Nursing Facility.
He was born March 21, 1940 in Cooperstown, NY the son of Floyd L., Sr. and Margaret Kelsey Couse and received his education in Milford schools. Floyd was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the military police. He was a truck driver for several companies and then for Rea-D-Pac Foods in North Norwich until retiring. He was a member of the Brookfield Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a mechanic whose favorite pastime was rebuilding engines of all sizes and makes. He was also a carpenter and gunsmith.
Surviving are his companion, Ruth Kemp of Sherburne; his children, Marlene Couse of Auburndale, FL; Daffanny (William) Nicoletti of Sherburne; Robert (Michelle) Sprague of Binghamton; Peggy Couse of Sherburne; Malcolm Kemp of Smyrna; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his cat Misfit. He was predeceased by a daughter, Audrey Couse.
Graveside services with military honors will be held in the Plains Cemetery, Oneonta, NY at a later date to be announced.
