Frances M. Foster, 85, of West Main St., Morrisville, NY, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.
She was born on May 3, 1928, a daughter of Arthur and Emma Gene Perrigo Kelley. On May 27, 1950, Frances married Melvin H. Foster in Norwich. He predeceased her on October 21, 1995. Frances worked at Norwich Pharmaceuticals, in Norwich, and then in retail for most of her life beginning with Carter’s Clothing and Footware in Morrisville, and then Tru-Value, which became Cooley’s Home Center in Morrisville where she was still active. She enjoyed bird watching and gardening, but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Wayne and Susan Foster of Hamilton, and Kelli Phillipps of Morrisville; sisters-in-law, Tomoko Kelley of Seattle, WA and Marion “Mickey” Foster of Norwich; and a granddaughter, Sarah Foster of Hamilton. She was predeceased by three brothers, Roy, Harold and Wilbur “Bub” Kelley, and a sister, Audrey Cooley.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday, December 6, 2013 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, followed by interment in the Morrisville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from Noon until 2pm prior to the service.
