Herman J. Eiholzer, 91, of Route 26, Eaton, NY, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford.
He was born December 6, 1921 in Chester, IA, a son of Karl T. and Marie Kneubuhl Eiholzer and attended local schools. Herman proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He had worked for Massey-Ferguson in Syracuse, and then at SUNY, Morrisville until his retirement.
Herman was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton.
He is survived by a brother, James Eiholzer of Eaton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertrude Winkler of Eaton; Theresa and Paul Carter of Sherrill; Frances and Robert Snyder of Knoxville, TN. He was predeceased by his sisters, Marie Eiholzer, Martha Gregory, Helen Eiholzer, Anna Manning, Emma Carey and Emilie Eiholzer and brothers, Carl, Joseph and George Eiholzer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, March 16, 2013 at St. Mary’s Church, Wylie St., Hamilton.
Spring interment with military honors will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
