Hilda G. Faulkner, 100, of Sherburne, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich.
She was born February 22, 1915 in Hamilton, a daughter of Karl and Clara Baker Gaylord and was a graduate of Hamilton High School. Hilda married Fay Faulkner in 1934 who predeceased her in April 1967. She had worked at the Norwich Knitting Mill in Sherburne, Mid York Press in Norwich, and along with her husband, owned and operated Faulkner Printing in Sherburne.
Hilda was a member, matron, secretary and sunshine person of the Order of the Eastern Star Trinity Star Chapter #367 in Sherburne, and a past Grand Chaplain for New York State. She was an avid reader.
Surviving are her daughter, Lana Roske of Vestal; sons, Frank Faulkner and companion Marilyn Fuller of Smyrna; James and Ann Faulkner of South New Berlin; and Fay Faulkner of San Diego, CA; daughter-in-law, Lennie Faulkner of West Chester, OH; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Emma Gaylord of San Diego; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a great-great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Faulkner, two daughters Shelley Keator and Sara Faulkner; two brothers, Charles and Phil Gaylord; a grandson, Christopher Faulkner, and a granddaughter, Monica Keator.
Services are private at the convenience of her family.
