James Killingbeck

March 11, 1932 — January 2, 2014

James A. Killingbeck, 81, of Route 26, Eaton, NY, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Lackawanna, NY on March 11, 1932 and was raised in Syracuse, where he received his education. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1961. On May 20, 1961, James married Joyce D. Stoddard in Pennsylvania, a loving union of over 52 years. He had worked at Kriecher’s & Patrician’s Meat Market in Syracuse, and later for Peter’s IGA in Syracuse until his retirement. He was a member of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters, Butchers, Workmen and Affiliated Crafts of North America, District Union Local #1, AFL-CIO.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce; his children, Karen Mosher of Canastota; Linda and Richard Jones of Hamilton; Jett and Chrissy Killingbeck of N. Syracuse; Kirk and Cindy Killingbeck of FL; sister, Agnes Killingbeck of TX; brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Fran Killingbeck of FL; grandchildren, Jamie Jones and Johnny Jones, both of Hamilton; and Amy Mosher of Canastota; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors will be held in the Eaton Cemetery in the spring.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville.
