Jane E. Heydweiller, 86, of Madison Lane,Hamilton, NY, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
She was born November 11, 1926 in Bayville, NY, a daughter of Frederick O. and Emily Box Cheshire. Jane received her RN degree from St. Catherine’s School of Nursing. On April 24, 1949, Jane married Frederick R. Heydweiller in Bayville, NY. They lived in Lindenhurst, LI until moving upstate in the late 1970’s. Fred predeceased her on January 2, 1998. Jane had worked at Horace Harding Hospital in New York City, and then Good Samaritan Hospital in Bay Shore, LI, until her retirement. Following that, she worked for Madison County, retiring in 1989. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton.
Surviving are her children, Karen and Lee Johnston of Hamilton; Jane and Kevin Donlin of Port Orange, FL; Thomas and Barbara Heydweiller of Antioch, TN; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from St. Mary’s Church, Wylie St., Hamilton, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Hamilton.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton on Wednesday from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
