JEANNE D. CURTIS
HAMILTON: Jeanne D. Curtis, 58 of Montgomery St., passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Syracuse.
She was born June 25, 1953 in Syracuse, a daughter of William and Frances Hansel Duggan. She received her education at St. Charles Borromeo Grammar School and graduated from Bishop Ludden High School. She attended Nazareth College in Rochester and graduated from LeMoyne College. On September 29, 1979, Jeanne married Mark D. Curtis in Syracuse. A Hamilton resident for many years, Jeanne worked for McLaughlin’s Department Store and Nick & Nora’s Clothing Store there. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton and a volunteer for the Food Cupboard in Hamilton.
Surviving are her husband, Mark; her mother, Frances Duggan of Syracuse; mother-in-law, Wilma Curtis of Hamilton; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and William Jacobson of Harwood, MD; and a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Peggy Lynn Duggan of Red Creek, NY. She was predeceased by her father, William Duggan, and her father-in-law, Clifton R. Curtis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday, July 14, 2011 at St. Mary’s Church, 16 Wylie St., Hamilton, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton on Wednesday from 7-9 pm.
St. Mary’s Altar & Rosary Society will recite the rosary at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:45 pm.
