BROOKFIELD: Jeannette A. Dye, 94, of Brookfield, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Folts Home in Herkimer.
She was born June 5, 1920 in Ottawa, Canada, a daughter of Alexander and Blanche Farmer Chartrand. She received her early education in Canada and was a graduate of Brookfield High School. On January 23, 1943, Jeannette married Irving Dye in West Winfield. He predeceased her on March 30, 1965. Jeannette was a homemaker whose family was her first priority. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Jeannette atteneded the First Baptist Church in Brookfield.
Surviving are her daughters and sons in law, Nancy Reinhardt of Syracuse; Norma & Richard Van Pelt of Little Falls; Violet & Phillip Clark of Cold Brook; Judy & Michael Flores of Excelsior Springs, MO; sons and daughters in law, Chester & Leola Dye of Brookfield; and Dexter & Colleen Dye of Fairmount, GA; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah and a son, Zebulon.
Memorial Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Brookfield on Tuesday September 9. 2014 at 2:00 PM
Interment will follow in the Brookfield Cemetery.
