Jerry S. Phillipps, 63, of Williams Rd., Munnsville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his home.
He was born on September 19, 1952 in Hamilton, NY, a son of the late Kenneth and Joyce Rasmussen Phillipps. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School and attended SUNY Morrisville for auto mechanics. He owned and operated Jerry’s Service Station in Hamilton. Jerry loved music and was a talented musician who played bass guitar in several area bands, most recently with Soul Injection. He also enjoyed collecting miniature cars.
Surviving are his children, Kira Phillipps (John Karlik) of Auburn; Rachel Phillipps Colino (Jonathan Colino) of Tully; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Allen Quackenbush of Hamilton; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Dennis and Suzanne Phillipps of Perryville; Brian Phillipps of OH; Kevin and Connie Phillipps of Reno, NV; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many close friends.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY, on Saturday February 13, 2016 from Noon until 2pm.
Services and interment are private at the convenience of his family.
