John L. Robbins, 62, of Quarterline Rd., Hubbardsville, NY, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at his home.
He was born April 2, 1950 in Norwich, a son of the late Milton “Pete” and Ruth Moury Robbins and was a graduate of Hamilton High School. On December 21, 1984, John was united in marriage to Laura M. Lorenzo in Earlville. A life long area resident, John had worked for John Morris Chevrolet in Hamilton, and then for McCredy Motors in Sherburne. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton. John was a gentle and loving soul who brought joy to all who knew him, and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his wife Laura; his step-mother, Evangeline “Van” Robbins of Hamilton; children, Joseph and Gloria Kovarnik of Nelson; Daniel and Ikuru Kovarnik of TX; Judith Turcic of Queens; Katherine and Eugene Daggett of Cazenovia; mother-in-law, Charlotte Lorenzo of Flushing, NY; sisters, Shelly (Jay) Warner and Julie (Bruce) Knowlton; brothers, Mark Clark and Wally (Laurie) Clark; and eight grandchildren. Kristy, Mike, Kim, Jimmy, Chris, Billy, Leah and Eddie. He was predeceased by a sister, Cheryl Morgan, a brother, Michael Robbins, and his father-in-law, Dominick Lorenzo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Friday, June 1, 2012 from St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton.
Interment will be private in the Graham Cemetery, Hubbardsville, at the convenience of his family.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY.
