SHERBURNE: Joyce A. Brigham, 64, died peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2020 in her home with her family by her side.
Joyce is survived by her children, Erin (Nate) Smith of Lebanon; Don (Kristen) Homovich of Hamilton; and her grandchildren, Mishelle (Mat) Jaquith of West Eaton; Andrue Lewis of Norwich; Lilly Andrews of Sherburne; Riley and Brayden Smith of Lebanon; Rileigh Biviano and Kloe Homovich of Earlville; two great-grandchildren, Jaxton Lewis and Ravyn Jaquith; four sisters, Kathy Clary, Betty Lou Howe (Deedrick), Alberta Walberg (Bob) and Janice Lindholm; a brother, Robert Brigham; many nieces and nephews and her good friend Betty. She was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Ema Brigham, and a brother.
Joyce was born in South New Berlin and moved to Sherburne as a child. She graduated from Sherburne-Earlville High School in 1974. Joyce was a huge part of her children and their families’ lives as well as the community. She worked for the Sherburne Big M for over 20 years and made herself a second family there. She was a volunteer for the “Tree” where she met her best friend Betty. She gave blood at the local blood drive every chance she could. She loved to read and to help out those less fortunate than herself.
No funeral is scheduled for Joyce as she wished. The family would like to thank all those who helped out during this difficult time.
Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
And as Joyce would say “Go give some blood”.
Arrangements by Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
