KATHERINE D. FELKER
Katherine Dorothy Alexandrowiz Felker, 55, passed away April 12, 2012, after a year long battle with lung cancer.
Kathy was born June 18, 1956, in Worcester Mass to Edmund and Emma Alexandrowiz. She attended West Boylston High School in Massachusetts and Morrisville State College. She was a mother who always had time for her family and devoted the last nine years working at Den Kelly Chevrolet in Hamilton, NY as a sales associate. She enjoyed everyday of her life especially being with family, friends and her horse, Romeo. She was very proud of her two vegetable gardens and her love for fishing.
Ms. Felker is survived by her fiancé, Dennis Rodriguez, children, Heather Watson and Andrew Chevon Felker, grandchildren Jenna, Emily and Faith, mother, Emma Alexandrowiz and sister Karen (Chris) Hughes niece, Haley and nephew Allan. She was preceded in death by her father Edmund Alexandrowiz in October 1977
At her request, no service will be held. There will be a reception at her daughter’s house 5036 Hill Rd. Oneida, NY, 315-264-7175, Sunday April 29, 2012 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
Memorial donations can be made to Tender Mercy Equine Rescue, 501 non-profit organization, 6981 Co. Hwy 50, Rome, NY 13440 www.tendermercyrescue.com. Funds can be donated to the rescue as a whole or you can sponsor a horse in Kathy’s name.
A special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse and Hematology-Oncology Associates of Central New York. An extra special thank you to the staff of Hospice of New Hartford for helping Kathy through this difficult time.
Katherine’s final gift was the gift of her eyes to the CNY Eye and Tissue Bank.
She will be missed by all. May she rest in peace and be with the Lord.
