Marguerite Murphy

Marguerite M. “Pete” Murphy, 78, of Poolville Rd., Hubbardsville, NY, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
She was born November 3, 1931 in Hubbardsville, a daughter of Patrick and Marlea Sergent Murphy. Marguerite worked for the Village of Hamilton until her retirement in 1989. She had also worked at NY Telephone in Hamilton at one time. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and playing cards. Marguerite was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton. She was a member of the U.S. Trotting Assoc.
Marguerite is survived by her sister, Kathleen Murphy of Hubbardsville; two nephews, a niece and several cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, James Murphy in 2004.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton.
Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hamilton will be in the spring.
