Marie A. Nardi, 62, of N. Warner St., Oneida, NY, formerly of Hamilton, passed away November 27, 2012 at her home as the result of a cardiac episode.
She was born April 18, 1950 in Springfield, VT, a daughter of Wilfred W. and Frances Phelps Faulks. She was a graduate of Fox Lane High School in Mt. Kisco, NY, and then Kirkland College in 1972. She had also attended Colgate University in Hamilton. On February 24, 1974, Marie married Robert W. Nardi in Lebanon, NY. He predeceased her on August 10, 2001. Marie had been a pianist in the cocktail lounge at the Colgate Inn from 1969 to 1972. She had worked at Community Memorial Hospital, and then for Colgate University from 1989 to 1999 in the Library and Chapel House. Marie was a lively and witty person who enjoyed art and music and had a fondness for horses.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton and attended St. Joseph’s Church in Oneida while living there.
Surviving are her two daughters, Adrienne Nardi of Williamson, NY; and Dana Nardi of Portland, OR; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betsy Huntington of Kingman, AZ; Dorcas and Michael Mahon of Syracuse; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Joelle Faulks of Earlville; John and Lynda Faulks of North Rose, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Mark Faulks in 1979.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday, December 3, 2012 from St. Mary’s Church, 16 Wylie St., Hamilton, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
