Mary Katherine Vnenchak Klisicwecz, 100, formerly of Hubbardsville and Montville, NJ, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Harding Nursing Home, Waterville, NY,
She was born September 1, 1910 in Czechoslovakia, a daughter of Andrew and Anna Vnenchak, and came to the United States at the age of 13. In 1931, Mary married Walter Klisicwecz in Boonton, NJ. He predeceased her on October 13, 1959. Mary was a machine operator for the VanRaalte Co. in Boonton from the age of 15 until retiring in the early 1960’s. A resident of Montville, NJ most of her life, she moved to Hubbardsville in her later years to be with her son and his family.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Walter “Bert” and Margot Klisiwecz; of Hubbardsville; granddaughter Meg Klisiwecz Hutchings and her husband, James Hutchings, Newark, DE; grandson, Walter P. Klisiwecz and his wife, Patty Michaelson of Delmar, NY; and three great-grandchildren, Evan Hutchings, Michael and Peter Klisiwecz. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Helen who died at birth.
A Memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Harding Nursing Home, 220 Tower St., Waterville.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
