Mary E. “Minnie” Streeter, 97, formerly of Mill St., passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the Crouse Community Center, Morrisville where she had resided since 2005.
Born December 29, 1911 in Pratts Hollow, NY, she was a daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Philpot Lynch. She was a graduate of Pratts Hollow schools and Morrisville Agricultural & Technical College. Minnie married Harold Streeter in McGraw, NY. He predeceased her on March 13, 1984.
Mrs. Streeter was a former member of the Eaton Federated Church, the Rebekah Lodge, the Morrisville Grange, the Home Bureau and the American Legion Auxilliary.
Surviving are five daughters and sons-in-law: Roxyann and Eugene Rifenburg of Munnsville; Rosalee and Peter Baldwin of Jacksonville, NC; Rebecca and James Mennig of Wampsville; Jody and Jerry Manwaring of South Africa; Coleen and Paul Jenks of St. Cloud, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Frances Streeter of Port Charlotte, FL; fifteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Streeter and a daughter, Patricia Jenkins.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services or calling hours.
Burial in the Morrisville Cemetery will be in the spring at a date and time to be announced.
