Richard L. “Rusty” Denison, 59, of Route 12B, passed away Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Harding Nursing Home, Waterville.
He was born July 24, 1950 in Utica, NY, a son of the late Roger D. and Florence Herrschaft Denison. Rusty was a graduate of Hamilton Central School and the Vale Technical Institute in Blairsville, PA with a degree in automotive technology. On February 25, 1971, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. On August 18, 1990, he married Deborah Timian in Madison, NY. Rusty was a salesman and truck driver for Growmark FS, Inc. in Sangerfield. He was a member of the American Legion Post #92 in Sangerfield, and he enjoyed hunting and camping.
Surviving are his wife Deborah; a son Scott Denison of NC; a sister Sandy Cain of Sherrill; an uncle Gordon Denison of Yorkville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Kenneth and Winifred Timian; grandchildren, Hailey, Richard and Taylor; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Bonnie (Mike) Urban of Solsville; Linda Timian and Anthony LoRusso, Kenneth “Sam” and Lynn Timian, Lorrie and Matthew Belfield, Joseph and Sue Timian, all of Waterville; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Richard W. Denison in 1998.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service.
Interment with military honors will follow in Graham Cemetery, Hubbardsville, NY.
