Richard Parkhurst Moore, 68, of Waterville, died on April 2, 2013.
Richard was born on October 4, 1944 in Utica, NY, the son of Elmer C. Moore and Mary Parkhurst Moore. He attended New York Mills schools. On August 28, 1971, he married Lynne Northrop in St. Bernard’s Church, Waterville. Richard was previously employed for 25 years by Waterville Knitting Mill. He was also employed for several years by C & H Plastics and Madison Central School.
Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters and sons-in-law, Priscilla and Douglas Larry of Floyd; Heather and Donald Abrams of Oriskany Falls; Andrea and James Love of Bridgeport; four grandsons, Duncan and Fergus Abrams, Charles and Blaise Larry; three granddaughters, Fiona Mary Lynne Abrams, Priscilla Ella Rose Larry and Emma May Love. Richard also leaves two sisters Mrs. Ronald (Helen) Lockwood of Milford, NH; Mrs. Raymond (Christine) Badger of Ballston Lake; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles (Diane) Moore of Virginia Beach, VA; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Elmer in 1983, his mother, Mary in 2009, and a brother, Charles in 1990.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, April 6, 2013 from St. Bernard’s Church, 199 Stafford Ave., Waterville.
Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery at a later date.
Friends are invited to call at the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville on Friday from 5-8pm.
