Ruth Palmer

Ruth C. Palmer, 92, formerly of Brookfield and Sherburne, NY, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Community Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Hamilton.
She was born August 14, 1918 in Little Falls, NY, a daughter of Francis L. and Vincie J. Belush Crandall. She was a 1937 graduate of Brookfield High School. On August 14, 1939, Ruth married Francis Palmer in West Brookfield. He predeceased her on January 23, 1985. Ruth worked for New York Central Mutual Insurance in Edmeston until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Brookfield.
Surviving are her daughter, Joan Brown of Earlville; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Brian (Linda) Decker of Naples, FL; 6 grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, James F. Palmer in 1998 and a brother, Robert L. Crandall.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm Saturday, May 28, 2011 from the Seventh Day Baptist Church, Brookfield, followed by burial in the Brookfield Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the church on Saturday from 1pm to 3pm prior to the service.
