Stanley H. Warner, 75, of Swamp Road, Morrisville, NY, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Oneida Healthcare Center.
He was born January 3, 1935 in the Town of Fenner, a son of the late Howard and Mildred Doxtater Warner and received his education in local schools. Stanley was a veteran of the U.S. Army D Battery 86th Missile Battalion. He had worked at New Venture Gear (Chrysler Corp.) in East Syracuse for over 35 years, until his retirement. He enjoyed several hobbies, including hunting and fishing, as well as raising Scottish Highlander cattle for many years.
Mr. Warner was a member of the Peterboro United Methodist Church; the UAW Local #624 in Syracuse, and the Owahgena Trail Blazers Riding Club.
Surviving are his children, Connie and Donald DeGroat of Morrisville; Stanley Michael Warner of Carlsbad, CA; Teresa and Timothy Smith of Morrisville; Steven and Cathy Warner of Morrisville; a sister, Virginia Warner of Morrisville; his uncle, Hollis Doxtater of Morrisville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several cousins. He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Gregory Austin Hilliard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisivlle.
Interment in the Peterboro Cemetery will be held in the spring.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 PM.
