Wava Roher

Wava Marie Roher, 85, of Pratts Rd., Munnsville, NY, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Crouse Community Center, Morrisville.
She was born April 29, 1924 in Peterboro, a daughter of the late Austin and Clara Davenport Doxtater and received her education in Peterboro and Morrisville schools. On October 8, 1943, Wava married Curtis Roher in Clockville. He predeceased her on May 13, 1989. Wava was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of their dairy farm until retiring in 1968. She loved writing letters to friends and family, and enjoyed the challenge of doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of SNACKS in Morrisville.
Surviving are her daughter, Dawn Jones of Freeville; brother and sister-in-law, Hollis and Patty Doxtater of Morrisville; grandchildren, Wava and Joe Bush of Truxton; Vada Jones of North Carolina; Howard and Holly Jones of Groton; and Ashley Jones of Freeville; a special granddaughter Alice Jones and her fiancé Milton Barrows of Homer; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Warner; and a son-in-law, Leonard D. Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, followed by burial in the Stockbridge Cemetery, Munnsville.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from Noon until 2 PM prior to the service.
