William Groves

: William L. “Bill” Groves, 78, of Rt. 20,Morrisville, NY, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, as the result of a motorcycle/deer accident.
He was born November 5, 1937 in Utica, NY, a son of Fay and Susan Coleman Groves and was a graduate of Morrisville-Eaton High School. On July 5, 1979, Bill married Emily Marion in Bennetts Corners, NY. She predeceased him on September 11, 2005. Bill was a self-employed dairy farmer, and for 32 years had worked for the Madison County Highway Department until his retirement.
Bill was a member of the Morrisville Community Church and the CNY 2-Cylinder Club (John Deere) of Central Square.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Gay Groves of Earlville; his caregivers, Anthony and Wendy Groves of Morrisville; close cousins, Randy and Sandi Groves of Morrisville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving is his canine companion, Susie.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, followed by interment in the Morrisville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9am until Noon prior to the service.
