Alice E. Strain

Alice E. Strain, 88, of Hamilton, NY passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023. Alice passed peacefully knowing God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.

Alice was born on October 17, 1934 in Cortland, NY, a daughter of Walter and Leona Holcomb Marshall. She married Douglas Strain who predeceased her. Alice devoted her life to caring for others, her family and her pets; who were all so very special to her. Alice enjoyed , baking and giving her baked goods away to family and friends. Alice spent decades living at Madison Lane, where she cultivated friendships and enjoyed participating in pot luck, coffee hour, and attending local church functions. 

Alice is survived by her siblings, Beverly Tooley (Manlius, NY), children,  Theresa Moony (Denver, PA), Yolanda Wright (Orlando, FL), Robin Heck (Ormond Beach, FL), Jessella Strain (Utica, NY), Thomas Strain (Nedrow, NY) grandchildren (14) and great grandchildren (19), whom she was especially proud of. 

 In keeping with Alice’s wishes, there are no services or calling hours.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville.
