Amber Elizabeth (Buell) Moon, 33, of Sherburne, NY, passed away in her home on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Her endless love for friends and family supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Born on June 9, 1986 in Hamilton, NY, she was the daughter of Lewis M. and Michelle L. Morgan Buell. She was a 2005 Sherburne-Earlville graduate and studied fine-art at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. After college, she went on to start a family and was married to Cory Moon in 2012. Amber was employed at Springbrook as a Team Leader and Supervisor, where she was able to share her love, as she always did.
She was a proud mother and enjoyed raising her son, Blake. He was her reason. She will be remembered for her love and her light. She was a force, and her presence was always known. She was effortlessly herself, and the world loved her for it. As F. Scott Fitzgerald said, “she was beautiful, deep down to her soul.”
She is survived by her son, mother, brother Anthony Buell, grandparents, Joseph Morgan, Emerson and Bonnie Buell, many uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, her maternal grandmother, Brenda Griffiths and paternal grandmother Barbara Hill.
A Celebration of Amber’s Life will be held Sunday November 3, at the American Legion in Earlville from 1-5pm.
