Bernice M. Huff, 90, of Hamilton, NY passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Waterville Residential and Nursing Center.
She was born on June 17, 1931 in Utica, NY, a daughter of Arthur and Edna Allworths Dawes and graduated from Westmoreland High School. Bernice was a supervisor for Ames Department Store in Hamilton, had worked in housekeeping at the AMA in Hamilton; and also worked for Sherwood Medical (Cheseborough Ponds) in Sherburne. At one time, she was the co-owner of the Huff Brau Tavern in Earlville. Bernice loved to knit and enjoyed making afghans and lap robes for the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford.
Surviving are her children, Timothy “Tim” and Susan “Susie” Huff of Earlville; Alan Huff and his fiancée, Natasha Dreusike of Lebanon; Valerie and Mickey Radford of N. Fort Meyers Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Jasmine Huff and Noah Huff of Earlville; Gabrielle and Bret Hanson of Redwood, NY; Taliah Dean-Huff of North Norwich; Michael Cook of Rocky Mount, VA; Shauna and Kurt Buschor of Hubbardsville; George Morgan of Francestown, NH; many great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-granddaughters, a great-great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Cathy Schreppel and a brother, Clifford Dawes.
Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, followed by interment in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton, NY.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11am to 1pm prior to the service.
