Brenda M. Thieben

Brenda M. (Durant) Thieben, 71, of Eudamar Lane, Hamilton, NY passed away at her home on January 7, 2023.

She was born on August 2, 1951 in Oneida, a daughter of the late Gordon L. and Ruby E. Harp Durant. She was a graduate of Westmoreland High School and Pauldine’s School of Beauty in Elmira. Brenda was a beautician for 40 years operating Brenda’s Beauty Shop. She took computer courses at BOCES in Rome and then graduated from the Utica School of Commerce at Canastota. She later worked for Fleet Services in Utica and Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and reading.

Brenda attended the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hamilton. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton.

Surviving are her son, Richard P. Rogers, Jr. of Hamilton; a sister, Rebecca (George) Wormuth of Madison; a brother, Allan (Dawn) Durant of Oriskany Falls; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her canine companion, Baxter. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Ronald Durant.

Memorial Services will be held at 5pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2369 Lake Moraine Rd., Hamilton. Interment will be private.

Friends are invited to call at the church from 4-5pm prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
