Bruce I. McManus

Our Precious son of God, Loving Brother and Uncle, Bruce Irving McManus,78 of Ilion, New York, was called home into the eternal heavenly gates of our Lord God on Wednesday, December 22,2021.
Born in Utica, New York, on July 12,1943 to James G. McManus and Lilah C. (Congdon) McManus, he was the youngest of five children. As a child he attended Waterville Central School. In later years he moved to Oneonta, New York where he was employed for many years with Corning Inc. He was also an avid fisherman and loved spending the days of his youth fishing.
He is preceded by his father James, mother Lilah and his brother Grover W. McManus.
He is survived by his sisters Eleanor (McManus) Manion of New Hartford, New York, Dolores (McManus) Wines of Latham, New York and Elaine (McManus) Gerow of Summerville, South Carolina. As well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2022 with interment at the Waterville Cemetery, 110 Berrill Ave, Waterville, New York. Family will be notified of the details at a later date and time.
