Curtis C. “Doc’ Fuller, MD. 92, of Canastota (formally of Lebanon, NY), passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Oneida Healthcare, Extended Care Facility. He was born May 10, 1921 in Schenectady, NY, the son of the late Morris and Helen Breed Fuller and graduated from Schenectady High School and Syracuse University. On June 24, 1946 he was united in marriage to Clara Virginia Wetmore. She predeceased him in 2008. “Doc” served in the U.S. Army, during WW II, as an Army Captain at the 64th Field Hospital at Fort Bragg. NC. Dr. Curtis was an anesthesiologist at Rochester General Hospital and later, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton and the Oneida City Hospital, Oneida.
Surviving are his three sons and two daughters in law, Doug and Becky Fuller of Clyde, NY, Stephen and Marcia Fuller of Peru, ME and Tim Fuller of California; a daughter and son in law. Linda and Harold Benedict of Turin, NY; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Curtis will be remembered as a loving and Godly dad who set a good example for his children.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 3:00 pm from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad Street, Hamilton, NY. Interment will be held in the spring at West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne, NY. Friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 1 – 3 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.
