Daniel G. Bensley

Daniel G. Bensley, 66, of Sherburne, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2022 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. He was born on June 6, 1956, in Utica to the late Donald E. and Ethlyn I. “Peg” Gale Bensley. Daniel was a graduate of The Sherburne-Earlville School District; Farmington University, LI., with an A.S degree in graphic arts; The State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville with an A.S degree in mechanical engineering and a B.S degree in mechanical engineering from the State University of New York at Binghamton. On December 22, 1984, in Tucson, AZ, Daniel was united in marriage to Clara Suzanne Grainger.

Daniel worked as a senior designer for Lok-n-Logs, Inc. in Sherburne. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Tabernacle Church in Sherburne, and was also a former member of the Odd Fellows in Earlville and had served on the Sherburne Library Board. Daniel was a talented artist and musician, he enjoyed drawing and playing the guitar. He also liked spending time in his garden and doing projects around his home.

Daniel is survived by his wife; Suzanne, children; John D. Bensley and Alison R. Bensley, both of Sherburne, a sister; Donna (Charles) Jones of Lake Havasu City, AZ, brothers; David (Diane) Bensley of Earlville, Richard (Kathryn) Bensley of Whitney Point, Douglas (Janet) Bensley of Ashville, NC; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Tabernacle Church, 10 Utica Rd., Sherburne, NY 13460. Internment in Poolville Cemetery will follow. Friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 11-1 PM prior to the service at church.
