Don Arol Teuscher

WATERVILLE, NY/LAKE PLACID, FL: Don Arol Teuscher, Sr., 87, formerly of Oriskany Falls, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.
He was born July 21, 1933 in Rome, NY, a son of David and Pauline Cleveland Teuscher. He graduated from Oriskany High School in 1953 where he had been a wrestling champion in the unlimited class. He was formerly married to Nancy Henkle. On July 23, 1994, Don married Rose M. (Boulanger) Moon in St. Joseph’s Church, Oriskany Falls. Don was a truck driver who worked for a number of companies over the years including Happy Ice, Clinton Moving, WalMart Distribution Center, Alcott’s Greenhouse and Kascon Environmental Remediation. He had been a security guard at Ferris Industries, and had also worked for Central Pump & Tank, Utica Step and Fireplace, Bendix Aviation and Arco Co.
Don was a member and sharpshooter of the Paris Fish and Game Club Pistol League; and a former member of the Paris Hill Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Rose; his children, Nancy Lynn and Dennis Keith of Waterville; Don Arol Teuscher, Jr. and Todd Teuscher, both of Westernville; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his in-laws, Roy and Jan Boulanger of Greer, SC; John Boulanger of Ballston Lake; Marie Robertson of Charlotte, NC; June and George Chakmakian of Tega Cay, SC; Christine Boulanger of Norwich; Irene and Bob Blake of Greer, SC. He was predeceased by a sister, Joy Doss, and three brothers, David, Jr., Arthur and John Teuscher.
Graveside service will be in the Stanwix Cemetery, Rome, NY at 2pm Friday, May 21, 2021.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville.
