Donald E. Lidell, 85, of Carey Rd., New Woodstock, NY, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 30, 1935 in DeRuyter, NY, a son of Clesson and Mabel Eaton Lidell and received his education in local schools. He married Beverly E. Perry in New Woodstock, a loving union of 57 years. She predeceased him on February 2, 2015. Donald was a machinist who worked for Production Product for 37 years. He enjoyed many hobbies including hunting, trap shooting, road and dirt motorcycling, photography, woodworking and scroll work, as well as gardening in earlier years. Donald also restored antique John Deere tractors. He was a longtime member of CNY Tractors of Yesteryear.
Surviving are his children, Mark and Pam Lidell of DeRuyter; Martin Lidell of McGraw; and Alan Lidell of Pitcher; grandchildren, Caleb, Dillon, Jordon, McKenzie, Kali and Olivia; his siblings, Joyce (Morris) Brown, NY, Alba (Carl) Knight, NY, Beverly (Gordon) Coon, FL, Linda (Frank) Fulkerson, KY, Florence Lidell, NY, Larry (Diane) Lidell, NY, Katherine (Ed ) Campbell, NY, John (Barb) Lidell, NY, Joy (David) Barber, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Clesson Lidell, Jr.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of his family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, NY
