Dorrance E. Burnett

SHERBURNE: Dorrance E. Burnett formerly of 537 Blanding Road, Sherburne, NY passed away May 21, 2021 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin, NY with his wife Cindy and sister-in-law Julie by his side.
Dorrance was born April 29, 1939 in Harpersville, NY. In 1973 Dorrance was placed in home care with Betty Bratton of Norwich, NY. Dorrance was employed at CWS ARC sheltered workshop in Norwich, NY until he retired in 2007. During his employment at CWS, Dorrance met his life-long friend and wife of 43 years Cindy Winton. Many people knew Dorrance and Cindy by the bird they carried on their shoulder as they walked down the street. Dorrance was a quiet man but he also had a big heart for the family members who cared for him dearly. Dorrance totally enjoyed his life with Cindy and all their adventures they had together. Dorrance loved sitting on the front deck to watch the cars go by. Not saying the road trips with “His Trish”.
Dorrance is survived by his loving wife Cindy; sister and brothers-in-law of the Winton family. Dorrance is also predeceased by Benny and Frances Winton and nephew Brock Diamond.
