Esther C. Davis, 89, of Pleasant Valley Rd., Morrisville, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 13, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Esther was born on July 29, 1933 on the family farm on Clark Rd., Morrisville. Youngest daughter to the late Frank R. and Bernice Bezio Clark. She was a 1951 graduate of Morrisville-Eaton High School. On April 11, 1953, in St. Therese’s Church, Munnsville, Esther was united in marriage to Richard L. Davis. A marriage lasting for 64 years.

Esther worked as a payroll clerk at the Bursars Office at Colgate University for 3 years. She also worked part time as a cashier at the Morrisville State College Bookstore for over 30 years during the book rush. She was an inspector for the Board of Elections for the Town of Smithfield for over 30 years, but most of all she was a farmer’s wife for over 64 years.

 Esther was a life member of the St. Joan of Arc Church in Morrisville where she was active with the church affairs. She was an avid reader and a member of the Pleasant Valley Reading Circle for 50 years.

Esther loved spending time with her families, especially the Clark Reunion’s, Davis picnics, and any special family gatherings. Esther is survived by her children; Deb (Bob) Curtis  of Erieville, Elaine (Joe) Davis of Morrisville, Jeff (Carol) Davis of Morrisville, Pat (Ed) Mennig of Morrisville, Theresa (Todd) Davis of Morrisville, daughter in-law Donna Davis of VA. Sister; Melva (Leo) Minotti of Rush, NY., sisters-in-law; Ginny Davis of AZ., Audrey Clark of Hamilton, grandchildren; Shauna (Dave) Janzcuk, Corey (April) Curtis, Dan Davis, Richie (Karyn) Roberts, Kenny (Julie) Mennig, Shawn (Kayla) Curtis, Megan Mennig, Becca (Sean) Mennig, Will McFeeley and Miranda McFeeley, great-grandchildren; Dylan and Taylor Janzcuk, Holden and Bryson Mennig. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grandchildren.

Esther was predeceased by husband Richard Davis, grandson; Bradley Antwine, brothers; Gordon, Donald, William and Darwin Clark and a sister; Mildred “Millie” Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Church in Morrisville. Interment will follow at the Morrisville Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Donations in Esther’s memory may be made to St. Joan of Arc Church, P.O Box 1087, Morrisville, NY 13408, or to the Madison County Office of the Aging, 138 Dominic Bruno Blvd., Canastota, NY 13032.
