Gloria J. Jones

Gloria J. Jones, 73, of Stone St., Oneida, formerly of Morrisville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Oneida Healthcare.
She was born on December 29, 1947 in Middlebury, VT, a daughter of Thomas A. and Pearl A. Wimmett Denney. Her mother passed away when Gloria was 11 and she was raised by her step-mother Mabel. She received her education in Canastota schools. On August 23, 1969, Gloria married David B. Jones in Canastota. He predeceased her on July 25, 2005. Gloria was a homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her family.
Surviving are her children, David T. Jones, Michael W. Jones, James R. Jones, Benjamin D. (Renee) Beardsly, and twin daughters, Melissa P. Jones and Margaret (Jeff) Seitz; several grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son Gary A. Jones in 2002 and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Erieville, NY.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon until 1pm.
