Helen E. Denmark, 75, of Spillway Rd., Hamilton, NY, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
She was born August 18, 1939 in Hobart, NY, a daughter of Edward and Adaline Brownell Christian and was a graduate of Hamilton High School. On July 18, 1959, Helen married Barry J. Denmark in Hamilton. She worked for Vantine Studios in Hamilton for over 34 years until her retirement. Helen was a creative person who loved crafting, rug making and crocheting. She was very generous and enjoyed giving her creations to family and friends. Helen was the “family photographer” whose camera was always with her and she photographed everyone and everything. She and Barry spent many winters in Kissimmee, FL.
She is survived by her husband, Barry; her children, Brian and Tammy Denmark of Kissimmee, FL; Diana and Michael Craven of Hubbardsville; sisters, Janet Beers of Mocksville, NC; Evelyn Graves of Norwich; and Jane Shipmen of Schenevus; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald “Joe” and Betty Sue Christian of Norwich; two grandchildren, Sydney Craven and Ashley Scianimanico; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, there are no services or calling hours.
