John J. Tinti Jr.

John J. Tinti, Jr., 71, of State Rt. 26, Eaton NY, formerly of Buffalo, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 21,2022 at Rome Hospital.

He was born January 2,1951 in Buffalo where he received his education. He served his country in the US Army in Vietnam, receiving a Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and a Purple Heart with Two Oak Leaf Clusters. He married Sharon (Nelson) Lloyd in Eaton.  Among John’s many careers, he was a store owner, a bouncer, bounty hunter and most recently a Private Investigator. He was of the Episcopal Faith and active with veteran affairs.

Surviving is his wife, Sharon; his children, John J. Tinti, III, Sarah Baker; stepchildren, Christopher P. Lloyd, Tiffany D. Eaton, Krista S. Owens; several siblings and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, June 4,2022 at 1:00 PM in the Eaton Village Cemetery, 5963 Landon Rd., Eaton, NY 13334.
