Joyce L. Brown

HAMILTON: Joyce L. Brown, 85, of Madison Lane, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Waterville Residential Center.

She was born on July 28, 1936 in Georgetown, one of 11 children of Clesson and Mabel Eaton Lidell and received her education in Georgetown schools. On March 6, 1953, Joyce married Morris Brown in New Woodstock. He predeceased her in 1981. Joyce had worked for Magnavox in Manlius for 30 years until retiring. She enjoyed reading and camping.

Surviving are her children, Brenda Furness of W. Eaton; Philip (Betsy) Brown of DeRuyter; Barry Brown of Hubbardsville; Steven (Paula) Brown of W. Eaton; Richard Brown of Liverpool; sisters, Alba (Carl) Knight of Vernon; Beverly (Gordon) Coon of FL; Linda Fulkerson of IN; Florence Tabacazk of Syracuse; Catherine (Edward) Campbell of Fayetteville; Joy (David) Barber of Cazenovia; brothers, Donald Lidell of Sheds; Larry (Diane) Lidell of Cortland and John  (Barbara) Lidell of DeRuyter); 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brothers, Clesson Lidell, Jr. and Donald Lidell; and sister Alba Knight.

Graveside services will be held at the convenience of her family in the Sheds Cemetery.
