PRATTS HOLLOW: Mary Lou Jackson, 69, of Pratts Rd., passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Seigenthaler Center in New Hartford.
She was born on June 26, 1953 in Oneida, a daughter, of the late Sheldon and Beverly Heidel Bartlett. She was a graduate of Stockbridge Valley Central School and received a business degree from SUNY, Morrisville. Mary Lou had worked in administration at Oneida Tableware for over 23 years. While there, she met Craig Jackson. Their friendship led to a loving relationship and on April 1, 1995, they married in Pratts Hollow. Mary Lou then worked for her husband’s business, W. Craig Jackson Custom Truckmen in Pratts Hollow until her health became an issue.
Mary Lou was a life-long resident of Pratts Hollow where she attended the United Methodist Church in her youth. She and Craig built their home across from the Bartlett farm. She was very artistic and had an amazing talent for decorating their beautiful home and maintaining her gardens. She lived a very healthy lifestyle, enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
Surviving are her husband, Craig; mother-in-law, Carolyn Jane Jackson of Welland, Ontario; her children, Jennifer Reals of Chittenango; Michael (Shawna) Alder of Fort Mill, SC; step-children, David Lees Jackson of Ottawa, Ontario; Sean Michael (Kim McArthur) Jackson of Campbellford, Ontario; Nadine (Wayne) Simpson of Barrie, Ontario; a sister, Cathy DeSimone of Myrtle Beach, SC; brothers, Jim (Patti) Bartlett of Cary, NC; David (Shelia) Bartlett of Munnsville; sister-in-law, Chris Bartlett of Munnsville; four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Steven Bartlett and her father-in-law, William Lees Jackson.
Graveside services will be held at 1pm Saturday, September 10, 2020 in the Hillcrest Spring Cemetery, Pratts Hollow, followed by a gathering at the Jackson home, 3905 Pratts Rd.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, NY.
